Thank you for your comments and favorite-addings over the past six months. I was, as some of you may know, in the California wilderness. More specifically, I was in the Trinity Alps Wilderness (The Shasta-Trinity National Forest.) My time there was life-changing and indescribable. I died. With this death came a rebirth. I am curious to see how this rebirth will manifest itself on the canvas.
I will tell you all about one experience that was particularily profound. I went on a 44 mile weekend hike with nuts and cream of wheat for food. We came across a massive, dramatic and violent ridge appropriately named Sawtooth Ridge. We camped at an alpine lake with a view of the bone white ridge. The moon rose over the ridge as clouds spilled over it from the otherside. As the clouds rolled down the ridge, they began spiraling upwards after coming into contact with the warm valley floor...all of this was illuminated by the silver moonlight. I will never forget.
I hope to begin some new work as soon as I find a place to live.
Thanks again for the support. Expect a few fotos soon!

Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful.
